Fertilization and Activation of Development - Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) 2025 is organized by Gordon Research Conferences (GRC) and will be held from Jul 26 - 27, 2025 at Holderness School, Holderness, New Hampshire, United States of America.
Conference Description:
Investigating the Cellular and Molecular Basis of Gamete Biology, Fertilization, and Early Embryos for Clinical Insights
The Fertilization and Activation of Development GRS provides a unique forum for young doctoral and post-doctoral researchers to present their work, discuss new methods, cutting edge ideas, and pre-published data, as well as to build collaborative relationships with their peers. Experienced mentors and trainee moderators will facilitate active participation in scientific discussion to allow all attendees to be engaged participants rather than spectators.
The Fertilization and Activation of Development GRS will explore the complex and fascinating processes of fertilization and genome activation, starting from gamete growth and preparation, continuing through the fertilization process itself spanning multiples species, and finishing with early embryo development. Our aim is to examine this whole process from diverse perspectives, seeking a deeper understanding to improve fertility, confront climate change challenges, design innovative contraceptive methods and discuss ethical issues surrounding reproductive technologies. A primary goal of this GRS is to inclusively welcome PhD students, Postdocs and early career researchers from various backgrounds and life stages and to provide them with opportunities to explore various career options. The GRS fosters a collaborative environment for scientific exchange, poster and oral presentations from trainees, networking, and preparation for the upcoming Gordon Research Conference.
