EIC 2025: European Iron Club Meeting is organized by studio12 gmbh, European Iron Club and will be held from Dec 04 - 05, 2025 at University of Innsbruck, Innsbruck, Tyrol, Austria.
Description:
This year’s meeting will continue the tradition of our scientific society to foster professional exchange in a collegial and collaborative setting with equal opportunities for young, emerging and established researchers in the broad field of biomedical iron research. The 2025 edition will place a special emphasis on two key topics at the intersection of basic and clinical iron research: 1: iron deficiency, its consequences and treatment; and 2: diagnosis, mechanisms and clinical endpoints of iron overload. Within these topics there will be a special focus on iron and bone health, and a thematic debate on iron in heart failure.
The European Iron Club has a longstanding tradition of bringing together experts and emerging scientists dedicated to advancing our understanding of iron metabolism, encourage new collaborations, and bridge gaps between insights from basic research and patient care. At this year’s meeting panel discussions on how and when to diagnose hemochromatosis, endpoints in clinical hemochromatosis trials and bone, iron and phosphate will be organized. In the light of these topics, patients, patient representatives and representatives from industry are equally welcome to contribute their views in exchange and discussions.
