Dentists that have a registered DEA # in the state of Kentucky* are required to complete three (3) hours of continuing education that relates to the use of the electronic monitoring system, pain management, or addiction disorders prior to renewing their license every renewal cycle. This course will discuss the current opioid epidemic, review the requirements of Kentucky All Schedule Prescription Electronic Reporting (KASPER), discuss recent changes in KASPER, provide practical utilization of eKASPER for the practicing dentist, and discuss changes in management of acute dental pain.
