Description:
The development of periodontal treatment methods shows a clear trend away from resective and towards regenerative therapeutic measures. In addition to membranes and autologous bone transplants, bone replacement materials, growth factors and soft tissue transplants offer a wealth of options for restoring periodontal structures. However, the correct handling of the tissues is the key component of successful periodontal surgery.
This course is aimed at dentists, periodontists and oral surgeons who already carry out periodontal treatments but would like to deepen their knowledge in the area of periodontal bone regeneration and the coverage of periodontal recessions. In addition to the theoretical and surgical basics, the techniques are illustrated using operation videos and numerous clinical cases and deepened with exercises on the pig's jaw.
The following topics are part of the course:
Classification of therapies in the periodontal treatment process
Regeneration of periodontal bone defects by
Mucogingival & plastic periodontal surgery
