OVERVIEW

The 3rd Multi-Specialty Aesthetic Conference (MAC) is organized by Cosmetic Surgery Forum (CSF), Multispecialty Aesthetic Conference (MAC) and will be held from Mar 27 - 30, 2025 at The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, United States of America.

Description:
The aesthetics industry is transforming every day. If the last few years have taught us anything, it’s that you must embrace change to thrive. Join us in Hilton Head in 2025 for the 3rd Multispecialty Aesthetic Conference, our newest meeting bringing together the brightest minds in all four cosmetic specialties.

The Multispecialty Aesthetic Conference is designed by medical professionals, for medical professionals. Advance your clinical skills, forge meaningful connections and implement real solutions to help your practice prosper. In 3.5 days of keynote presentations, live demos and workshops, a curated exhibit hall, networking functions, and so much more, this is an event you won’t want to miss.

After several years of discussion, research, and planning, the decision has been made to move forward with what I feel will become an influential and unique opportunity for continuing medical education in a one-of-a-kind setting.

Even more exciting is our partnership with Dr. Joel Schlessinger and his Cosmetic Surgery Forum conference. Joel has been running a very successful conference focusing on less invasive cosmetic treatments for the past 10 years and now the MAC and the Cosmetic Surgery Forum will join to create an unparalleled educational opportunity.

My intention is to bring together an outstanding faculty for a three and a half day meeting that focuses on current best practices and recent developments in aesthetic medicine, including both clinical and practice management and marketing strategies.

Statement of Need:
There is a lack of truly multi-specialty educational sessions that include worldwide, prominent educators from each field, brought together for technique discussions and knowledge sharing. This symposium is unique in that it brings an international audience to San Diego to link together and build a truly multi-disciplinary environment with a balanced representation of all the core specialties: dermatology, facial plastic surgery, oculoplastic surgery, and plastic surgery. This education program will include high-quality, learner friendly discussions on technique(s), emerging technology, complications that may arise (and how to avoid them), and non-invasive alternatives to surgery. Evaluations from 20+ years of meetings produced by Dr. S. Randolph Waldman, our founder and organizer, have shown a consistent desire and need for multi-disciplinary education in these aesthetic specialties. Physicians within these fields have demonstrated the desire for in-depth technique discussions as a matter of providing a necessary, strong pool of knowledge among the specialties. The 2023 MAC meets the need for a truly multi-specialty educational experience to help achieve better standards and patient outcomes.

Learning Outcome:
To build educational bridges among the specialties involved with aesthetic medicine and surgery

Educational Objectives:
As a result of this activity, the participant should be better able to:

  • Compare options for skin rejuvenation through the use of modern lasers and other skin tightening devices, fillers, injectables, and minimally invasive lifting techniques
  • Differentiate the various approaches to blepharoplasty and browlifting to determine which technique is best suited for the patient
  • Estimate which patients are better candidates for surgical rejuvenation versus which may benefit from non-invasive approaches
  • Assess controversial topics in facial aesthetic surgery for more informed decisions as related to patient outcomes
  • Distinguish various face lifting techniques as they relate to anatomy
  • Discuss the truths and limitations utilizing injectable fillers and non-invasive devices
  • Demonstrate an improved understanding of how to avoid common problems with Rhinoplasty
  • Discuss the many new advances in body contouring
