Continuum 3: Live Patient – Surgical Extractions Course is organized by Koerner Center for Surgical Instruction (KCSI) and will be held from Feb 20 - 22, 2025 at Summit Dental & Orthodontics, Layton, Utah, United States of America.
Description:
Participate in Continuum 3, a 3-Day live patient clinical course. This is an in-depth, hands-on experience with “surgical extractions” and related other dentoalveolar procedures. Guaranteed to increase your comfort level. Cases treated will be according to the needs of local patients. This patient treatment course allows doctors to do many difficult, “surgical” extractions. All surgeries are done with personal instruction from experienced clinicians who enjoy teaching and sharing ideas and techniques gained from years of doing hard extractions themselves. There will be a few cases of socket preservation.
Before taking Continuum 3:
We highly recommend the completion of:
- Introduction to Surgical Extractions Course / Continuum 1 Course
- Experience in extractions (minimum of 25 surgical extractions).
Continuum 3: Live Patient Treatment Course Details
- Personal supervision and instruction from KCSI instructors
- 8 participants
. 2 participants work together, alternating as operator or assistant
. Patients will be seen with back-to-back appointments on all three days. How many patients you see depends on the patients’ extraction needs, averaging 5 patients a day – ranging from a few extractions to full mouth extractions. - Learn new techniques and problem management, such as:
. Incisions, flaps, sectioning, excising roots, erupted thirds, some impacted thirds, steroid administration as needed, buffering local anesthetic, intraosseous injections and bleeding management. - Learn how to use the most effective instruments for extractions.
- Become more confident, efficient, faster and predictable in performing extractions.
