OVERVIEW

Bone Day 2025 is organized by The Ohio State University Center for Continuing Medical Education (OSUCCME) and will be held on May 09, 2025 at Fawcett Center, Columbus, Ohio, United States of America.

Description:
Bone Day is back! This biannual OSU conference has been a highly regarded meeting for over 20 years, but has been on hold due to the pandemic. We are excited to get together in person to provide the newest information on ways to better approach and treat our patients who have had fractures and are at risk for more broken bones. Join us live to network with the speakers and connect with fellow providers. We will update you on the latest in evidence-based information for treating osteoporosis and the most current breakthroughs in metabolic bone disease evaluation. Patients and providers both seek to understand ways to improve their diet and exercise to make their skeletons healthier and we will review the latest information. Join us for a great day of learning and exchange.

Objectives:

  • At the end of this meeting attendees will be able to:
  • Better understand and use tools to evaluate bone disease, such as TBS and VFA
  • Prescribe all FDA approved medications to treat osteoporosis and communicate risks and benefits to their patients
  • Help their patients use nutrition to effectively improve their bone health
  • Seek out ways to collaborate with pharmacy to create an efficient bone health clinic
  • Recognize and evaluate for secondary causes of fractures, including unusual bone pathologies and parathyroid bone disease
  • Be able to guide their patients on the best exercises to build bone and prevent fracture.
