As our first meeting recognizing our new name and acknowledging the continuous state of change in which we find ourselves, the theme of this year’s meeting is Radiology at the Nexus: Bridging Expertise and Cultivating Change. We have created a program for everyone.

Some highlights include:
Tuesday, March 11
Following roundtable breakfast discussion groups, at 8am we have our Opening Plenary Session. The keynote speaker for our plenary is Chris Perry, a writer, director and engineer, recipient of a Sci-Tech Oscar and an Emmy nomination and professor emeritus at Hampshire College, MA. Mr. Perry is a supervising director of the new animated special Max & the Midknights for Nickelodeon. He will inspire us with insights into the adoption of new technologies to old systems and organizations to create entirely new models for content delivery.

At the end of a day packed with thought provoking parallel programming we will have the Vydareny Competition led by last year’s winners from Mayo Clinic and company.

Wednesday, March 12
Following the 7am poster session, at 8am we have the AMSER Lucy Squire and ACR-APDR Keynote Lecture: Embracing the Asymptote of Change, supported by the American College of Radiology. Desiree Morgan, MD, Vice Chair of Faculty Affairs at the University of Alabama will help us to understand why we resist change and how we covert this resistance to opportunity.

In the afternoon, join the Robert A. Novelline Diversity and Inclusion Lecture: Unapologetically Sustaining DEI by Illuminating the Foundations of Inclusive Excellence which will explore how we sustain progress and our commitment to DEI in the face of political, institutional and personal challenges led by Sunny Nakae, PhD, MSW, Senior Associate Dean for Equity, Inclusion, Diversity, and Partnership at the California University of Science and Medicine.

Wednesday will finish with the third year of our new fan-favorite meeting event, the Radiology Talent Show, a fundraiser for our AAR Research & Education Foundation.

Thursday, March 13
We again start the day with breakfast roundtable discussions followed by the Brogden Panel: Setting Up Our Trainees for Future Success. Tessa Cook, MD, PhD, Director of the UPenn Center for Practice Transformation in Radiology and Francis Deng, MD Co-Director of Medical Student Diagnostic Radiology Electives at Johns Hopkins will be our panelists.

Following our 9 science sessions in the afternoon, we are thrilled to be taking our networking reception to Universal Studios. Make sure to get your tickets and get on our buses to avoid LA traffic!

Friday, March 14
Friday, after recovering from all things Simpsons at Universal Studios, we will start at 8am when we bring back another new meeting favorite, the PowerPitch Plenary, which will feature five dynamic speakers who will present TED-style talks. The main meeting programming will end at noon, but post-meeting programming will include an APDR-RLI Bootcamp and ACER Certificate Program.

Throughout the meeting we will have arts, social and wellness programming to enhance the meeting experience. We will also have our special application closed programming, including the ARRALD leadership program for and the ACR-AAR Research Scholar Program for residents, the AAR Faculty Development Program for early-career faculty, the Radiology Management Program for mid-career faculty and the SCARD/LEAD program for women in leadership in industry and medicine.
