An innovative course designed to empower healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively tackle antimicrobial resistance (AMR) at the primary care level. Antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) is essential in preserving the effectiveness of antimicrobial agents and combating the growing threat of AMR, which poses significant challenges to global public health.

Objectives: 

  • To develop knowledge of effective antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) interventions in primary care.
  • To develop skills in using a behavioural approach to develop, implement and evaluate AMS interventions.
  • To develop knowledge and skills for implementing AMS interventions in primary care.
