Description:
ACLS is an effective method of providing advanced emergency cardiac care that utilizes a standard body of knowledge and clinical skills developed by the American Heart Association.

Objectives:

• Recognize the purpose of the ACLS provider course as education of healthcare professionals who manage cardiac arrest or near-arrest situations within the course of their jobs.
• Demonstrate a firm working knowledge of the ACLS material by participating in the core cases of the ACLS course, along with the CPR- D and written exam stations.
• Demonstrate decision-making and leadership capabilities as a team leader.
