7th Annual Sleep Symposium is organized by Inova Health System and will be held on Dec 05, 2025 at Inova Center for Personalized Health, Fairfax, Virginia, United States of America.

Program Description:
Join us IN-PERSON this year for a half day of education relating to sleep disorders, including information on new treatments and updates in the field. Topics this year will include adverse effects of sedative hypnotics and other sleep drugs,, central sleep apnea,  insomnia in the psychiatric patient, sleep wearables and the approach to CBT-1 patient.

Learning Objectives:

  • Evaluate the risks and adverse effects associated with sedative-hypnotic medications and other pharmacologic treatments for sleep disorders.
  • Apply strategies for diagnosing and managing central sleep apnea and insomnia in patients with psychiatric comorbidities.
  • Interpret data from sleep wearables and review cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) techniques that could be integrated into personalized treatment plans.
