35th Regional International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT) Congress is organized by International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT), MCI The Netherlands and will be held from May 31 - Jun 04, 2025 at Allianz MiCo • Milan Convention Centre, Milan, Lombardia, Italy.

This event is a valuable opportunity to share experiences, discoveries, and innovations in the fields of transfusion medicine and cellular therapies. With the contribution of experts, researchers, and all of you, we will delve into the challenges and opportunities shaping our sector, reinforcing our commitment to excellence and patient safety.

This congress will be a fantastic chance not only to discuss our profession but also to expand our professional network, discover new technologies, and meet the exhibitors and their products and novelties.

Programme:
The congress begins on Saturday May 31 with the SIMTI ‘’Local Day’’ - a scientific programme prepared by the local organizing committee, conducted in English and covering topics of special interest within Italy. Sunday June 1 is the ISBT Academy Day with educational sessions for anyone learning for the first time, updating knowledge, or looking for a way to get into topic areas outside their own speciality. The main scientific programme takes place from Monday June 2 to Wednesday June 4 with topic streams that cover the complete transfusion chain, and this year a new stream has been introduced for data science.

There are parallel sessions each with a theme, and most begin with an invited speaker followed by oral presentations selected from high scoring abstract submissions. Plenary sessions with three invited speakers addressing topics of interest to all are also feature throughout the programme.

This year we have included a dedicated ‘’workshop’’ stream in the programme; this is a great chance to actively participate, ask questions and exchange views with fellow professionals. More details of these will be available on this site soon.
