OVERVIEW

2025 Society for Neuro-Oncology (SNO) Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Conference is organized by Society for Neuro-Oncology (SNO) and will be held from May 15 - 17, 2025 at Hilton San Diego Bayfront, San Diego, California, United States of America.

Statement of Need/Program Overview:
Building on the success of our previous pediatric meetings, this biennial conference encourages the sharing of ideas and results, new collaborations and offers attendees a state-of-the-art update in the field of pediatric brain tumor research. The scientific program will offer outstanding keynotes, panel discussions and abstract presentations on a range of timely themes shaping the future of pediatric neuro-oncology. Topics the conference will include  Innovative Radiation Approaches – FLASH Radiotherapy, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Liquid biopsy for pediatric brain tumors, Adolescent and Young Adults with Pediatric CNS Tumors – How to Bridge the Gaps, New Technologies in Metabolomics, Genomics, Spatialomics, and 3D genomics in Preclinical, Clinical, and Translational Use, AI Advancements and Controversies.

Conference participants will also have opportunities to present their work — and to learn about advances made by others — through short oral presentations and scientific posters selected by the abstract review committee.

Educational Objectives:
After participating in this CME activity, participants should be able to:

  • Discuss how new-omics technologies are being utilized to understand pediatric brain tumor biology and for translational relevance to clinical trials.
  • Explain how artificial intelligence and machine learning are being utilized to improve treatment options for pediatric patients with CNS tumors.
  • Identify and employ new radiotherapy options to effectively treat pediatric patients with brain tumors.
  • Summarize recent advances in the experimental and clinical approach to the treatment of children and AYA patients with brain tumors.
  • Identify recent developments and advances in translational and correlative biology and implications for discovery of novel treatments for pediatric patients with brain tumors.
