OVERVIEW

2025 Conference Navigating the Lymphatic Road Map Intersection of Surgery & Therapy is organized by National Lymphedema Network (NLN) and will be held from Nov 14 - 16, 2025 at Hyatt Regency Sacramento, Sacramento, California, United States of America.

Description:
As we continue to chart the course of our 2025 Navigating the Lymphatic Roadmap series, we are proud to introduce the fourth conference, aptly titled Intersection of Surgery and Therapy. This conference is a deep dive into the synergistic relationship between surgical interventions and therapeutic strategies in the treatment of lymphedema. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore how surgical techniques can be integrated with therapeutic practices to enhance patient care. Through a blend of expert-led sessions, hands-on demonstrations, and collaborative discussions, this conference will illuminate the path for practitioners seeking to refine their approach to lymphatic disorders. Join us at this critical junction where the art of surgery meets the science of therapy, paving the way for innovative solutions and improved patient journeys in lymphatic health.

At the end of the conference, the participant will be able to:

  • Identify effective strategies for integrating surgical and therapeutic approaches to provide holistic care for individuals with lymphedema.
  • Analyze the latest advancements in surgical interventions, such as lymphaticovenous anastomosis (LVA) and vascularized lymph node transfer (VLNT), and their applications in managing lymphedema.
  • Demonstrate evidence-based therapeutic practices that complement surgical procedures to optimize patient recovery and long-term outcomes.
  • Evaluate case studies that highlight the benefits of multidisciplinary teamwork in advancing the field of lymphology.
  • Apply knowledge gained from interactive workshops and practical demonstrations to improve clinical practice and patient care.
  • Identify cultual and ethnic disparities and ways to mitigate bias in the clinical conditions addressed.
