OVERVIEW

Working Physically Safely and Respectfully in Healthcare is organized by Netherlands Paramedical Institute (NPi) / Nederlands Paramedisch Instituut (NPi) and will be held from Mar 07 - 28, 2024 at Tergooi MC location Hilversum, Hilversum, North Holland, Netherlands.

Description:
Are you a physiotherapist, exercise therapist or occupational therapist and do you provide healthcare providers with training or advice in physically safe working and movement techniques, or are you planning to do so? Then the practical and inspiring training 'Working physically safely and respectfully in healthcare' is something for you!

Based on their extensive experience in healthcare practice and as trainers at TRANSFERS beLICHT , Tinie Hake (physiotherapist) and Marianne van de Belt (exercise physiotherapist Cesar) will show you how you can combine mechanical aspects of a good working posture with haptonomic skills and how you can convey this. on the healthcare provider.

Central to this training are: working attitude, not using force, making contact, inviting through 'mirroring', 'feeling through', setting boundaries, rethinking and knowledge of tools. An actual change in 'thinking and doing' will occur if you can let healthcare providers experience what (the importance of) haptonomy is and how they can apply it in practice. It is also a personal approach, because haptonomy teaches the employee to pay attention to themselves, after which actual contact can be established with the client. Care provision therefore changes from mechanical working (= automatic and force-driven) to coordinated working (= allowing the client to participate to the best of his ability).

The following topics are covered during the training:
• Basic principles of physically safe working (working posture, occupational health and safety standards, haptonomy)
• Chair/bed transfer techniques on a haptonomic basis (all situations, including syndromes)
• Working with small aids (such as sliding sheet and tilting sheet)
• When can you use which aids
? • Putting on and taking off therapeutic elastic stockings
. • Application in your own work situation - questions and advice.

Subgoals:
