Course Objectives:
• Discuss the timeline of the development of treatment options for pulmonary hypertension (PH) including recently approved and treatment options currently in clinical trials.
• Identify presentation and management of pulmonary hypertension in patients with sarcoidosis.
• Explain the current approach to pulmonary hypertension in the presence of Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT).
• Determine the management of the pregnant patient with PH.
• Explain Shared Decision making in the management of PH
• Describe the use of Balloon Pulmonary angioplasty in patients with chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension.
• Discuss the care of the critically ill PH patient.
• Describe the use of extramembrane corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) in PH patients. •
