Description:
The fellows course will provide glaucoma fellows with a comprehensive overview of current practices and controversies in the diagnosis and management of glaucoma and  experience in the latest surgical techniques. Fellows will be able to view surgical techniques and instrumentation and discuss how recent clinical trial evidence translates into the clinical setting

Course Objectives:
At the completion of this educational activity, attendees will be better able to:

  • Evaluate the use of topical and implant therapies for the management of patients with glaucoma
  • Summarize the indications and optimal use of trabeculectomy
  • Review the indications and use of minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) devices to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Define the recent advances in glaucoma drainage devices
  • Demonstrate the latest developments in glaucoma surgery
  • Apply strategies for the reduction of surgical complications in glaucoma patients
