Symposium 238: Immuno-Mediated Diseases of the GI Tract: Where Do We Stand? is organized by Falk Foundation e. V. and will be held from Nov 08 - 09, 2024 at Palazzo dei Congressi, Florence, Tuscany, Italy.
Description:
It is our privilege and honor to invite you cordially to the Symposium “Immuno-Mediated Diseases of the GI Tract: Where Do We Stand?” in Florence (Italy).
While the prevalence of immuno-mediated diseases of the gastrointestinal tract increases, relevant progress in the field of celiac disease, eosinophilic esophagitis, inflammatory bowel disease and microscopic colitis has been observed. In order to learn from each other, to discuss the novel insights in gastrointestinal immunopathology, as well as diagnosis and therapeutic approaches while fostering interaction, we designed this cross-diseases symposium.
The program aims to mix lectures and knowledge in an attempt to learn from outstanding experts in the field of immuno-mediated diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. We will discuss novel pathways in pathophysiology, the role of the microbiome and exposome, current management algorithms, and new treatment options that might be relevant for clinical practice not only for a specific condition. Moreover, we will discuss current dietary approaches for these disorders, given the primary role of diet in today’s practice.
12 credit hours (CME) have been awarded by the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS).
