PEM Made Easy 3:0 - 3rd Paediatric Emergency Medicine Conference 2024 is organized by Negeri Sembilan Emergency and Trauma Society (NSETS), Paediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) Malaysia and will be held from Mar 05 - 06, 2024 at Sama-Sama Hotel KL International Airport (KLIA), Sepang, Selangor, Malaysia.

Description:
PEM Made Easy 3.0 aims to promote multidisciplinary networking to bridge the gap in paediatric emergency medicine development by sharing experience and combining expertise. The two-day conference intended to provide healthcare professionals with a comprehensive understanding of the unique challenges and considerations in paediatric emergency medicine.

Comprehensive chapters and symposia on a broad range of paediatric emergency medicine topics are scheduled to prepare healthcare professionals to excel in the field of paediatric emergency medicine and provide the best possible care to young patients in need.

Objectives:
I. To provide a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and considerations in pediatric emergency medicine to all healthcare providers.
II. To increase participants' knowledge about common clinical presentation and the appropriate approach to obtain a diagnosis.
III. To teach participants how to perform a thorough and age-appropriate assessment of pediatric patients, including vital signs and physical examination.
IV. To increase participants' confidence when dealing with seriously ill or injured children and ensure they can recognize life-threatening conditions quickly.
V. To educate participants about the principles of child resuscitation.
VI. To familiarize participants with the pharmacology aspects of pediatric emergencies regarding medication, including the correct and appropriate dosage and administration of medication.
VII. To teach participants how to evaluate pediatric diagnostic imaging, such as X-ray and ultrasound, in an emergency situation.
VIII. To emphasize the importance of effective communication and collaboration with children's specialists, their families and other members of the health care team. IX. To introduce participants to the latest guidelines and evidence-based practices in pediatric emergency medicine.
