Course Description:
This introductory course will provide practical knowledge in medical acupuncture to practicing physicians. Many osteopathic physicians lack the opportunity to learn applicable acupuncture techniques for their clinical practices. We aim to provide simple but novel osteopathic manipulative treatments utilizing acupuncture.

Course Learning Objectives:

• Recognize the use of acupuncture in clinical scenarios
• Understand brief acupuncture history, theory, and evidence
• Demonstrate practical and clinical acupuncture techniques
• Demonstrate safe and basic needling techniques and aftercare
• Demonstrate osteopathic manipulative treatment utilizing acupuncture techniques
