Northern Virginia Dental Society (NVDS) CE Program– “Dental Implant Success – Immediacy versus Longevity” with Lyndon F. Cooper, DDS, PhD, FACP is organized by Northern Virginia Dental Society (NVDS) and will be held on Dec 13, 2024 at Fairfax Marriott at Fair Oaks, Fairfax, Virginia, United States of America.

Synopsis:
In this presentation, we will explore current advances and challenges in implant dentistry.  A particular focus will be on the decisions we make in the process of care delivery and how those impact our clinical success.  Particular attention will be paid to the concept of therapeutic longevity and what success truly means.  A clinically illustrated approach involving single tooth, full arch and complex dental implant scenarios will be used to explore immediate therapy and clinical longevity.

Course Objectives:

• Appreciate how fundamental rules for treatment planning aid in attaining lasting implant therapy success.
• Understand what dental implant success is in context of clinician, patient, implant and prosthesis
• Be able to identify the current challenges facing dental implant therapy success and what steps can be taken today to enhance treatment outcomes.
