The conference will specifically focus on the “what is next" in the field of immune biology in cancer, with emphasis on immunomodulatory processes that not only favor tumor progression and metastasis but also contribute to the resistance to immune checkpoint blockers. We will also discuss throughput analyses in tumor-immune system-stroma-microbiota that may modulate immune responses to develop diseases and cancer. Other topics that go beyond classical immune checkpoints will also be approached. We will also discuss state-of-the-art imaging techniques and novel humanized animal models that are being developed for more physiological pre-clinical testing. Finally, experts will present cutting-edge immunotherapy strategies aimed at improving the outcome of cancer patients
