Lectures on a variety of topics encompassing the different ophthalmology subspecialties will be given by experts in the field. The lectures will cover the latest advances from the cornea to retina and neuro-ophthalmology including medical and surgical therapy for corneal diseases, uveitis, glaucoma, cataracts, retinal degenerative disorders, and common neuro-ophthalmologic diseases and emergencies. The topics will address areas that comprehensive ophthalmologists may not be as up to date on. The topics will address areas that may potentially affect the daily practices of comprehensive ophthalmologists and provide them with the most current recommendations for best practices.
Learning Objectives:
At the end of the program, participants should be able to:
• Describe insights into evidence-based treatment strategies for diabetic macular edema
• Discuss treatment and strategies for wet age-related macular degeneration
• Discuss ocular melanoma and its masquerading condition
• Discuss treatment options for uveitis in various scenarios
• Describe optimizing outcomes in cataract and refractive surgery
• Recall the importance of pupil check in ophthalmology
• Explore principles in oculoplastics
• Discuss prevision in cataract surgery
