Are you a (general) physiotherapist and would you like to sharpen your manual examination and treatment techniques? And would you like to receive the latest insights into the field of research and treatment of patients with low back, hip and groin pain? Then you are in the right place with this new two-day course!
This extremely practical training focuses on a body-oriented approach to patients with musculoskeletal complaints. Together with the teachers, you will work on your sensorimotor competencies for two days: you will improve your manual diagnostic skills and learn how to tailor your manual therapeutic interventions accordingly.
• You draw up hypotheses based on the submitted patient profiles;
• You use manual diagnostic skills techniques to test those hypotheses;
• You formulate therapeutic objectives and determine whether hands-on therapy is necessary;
• You use manual treatment techniques that contribute to your goals.
Afterwards, you will not only have brushed up on your hands-on techniques, but you will also look at patients with musculoskeletal disorders and pain syndromes of the low back, hip and groin with a fresh look.

After this course:
• you can recognize the clinical patterns of the following common conditions and syndromes of the low back, hip and groin and select, perform and interpret the appropriate tests:
• Sacroiliac strain
• Lumbar disc disease
• Lumbar radiculopathy
• Lumbar myalgia (thoracolumbar fascia)
• Facet joint dysfunction
• Canal stenosis
• Sacro-iliac sprain
• Nutation and counternutation blocking of the SI joint
• Labral injury
• Femoral Acebular Impinchment Syndrome (FAI)
• Hip osteoarthritis
• Deep Gluteal Syndrome (DGS)
• Greater Trochanteric Pain Syndrome (GTPS)
• Iliopsoas syndrome
• Adductor tendinopathy/tendinitis
• you can select, perform and interpret relevant tests to identify and treat local or regional factors that hinder recovery for the various conditions and syndromes of the low back, hip and groin.
• you master the hands-on treatment techniques, consisting of mobilizations, myofascial release techniques and manipulations, for the mentioned conditions and syndromes of the low back, hip and groin.
Accreditation
This training is accredited for: Basic Register General Physiotherapist (Quality House - KRF and SKF) with 12 points.
