Description:
This two and a half day hands-on cadaver workshop is designed to teach a diverse discipline of physicians how to perform safe and successful reconstruction of facial defects after skin cancer excision utilizing flaps.
Attendees will take part in learning about the biomechanics of facial skin, the anatomic characteristics of specific facial subunits, flap reconstruction for facial defects after tumor excision, and complication management through lectures and the hands-on lab sessions where they will perform flap reconstruction on the face and facial subunits as well as evaluate which flap is best suited for the various facial areas.
