Annual Meeting Sustainability Goals:
LeadingAge is a green partner with Music City Center and with Freeman, our event decorator. Based on our attendance, here are some energy-saving goals we’re striving for:

• Solar Energy: This conference will use renewable energy produced by 845 solar panels to support event energy needs.
• 55% Water Reduction: Stormwater is collected and reused for municipal water usage and irrigation.
• Recycle 2,000 lbs: Mixed recycling reduces waste, allowing event materials to be repurposed into new products.
• 500 lbs Compost: Food waste is composted, diverting waste from landfills, reducing greenhouse gas, and creating rich soil.
• Donations 900+ lbs: Donated goods and leftover food are donated to local nonprofits, including Nashville Rescue Mission and One Generation Away.
• Waste Diverted: Through recycling, reuse, composting, food, and non-food donations, waste is diverted from landfills.
