OVERVIEW

IPSIS Emergency Complications Simulation: Hands-On Course is organized by Interventional Pain and Spine Intervention Society (IPSIS) and will be held on Sep 11, 2024 at STRATUS Center for Medical Simulation, Boston, Massachusetts, United States of America.

Description:
This course provides a host of controlled, simulated emergency scenarios where you can push yourself to more rapidly recognize complications and implement the appropriate emergency response protocol.

Your performance will be analyzed via a detailed debrief by a multidisciplinary group of expert instructors to emphasize key management strategies.

Physicians practicing interventional pain medicine require the ability to remediate and mitigate risks during emergency situations. Since these exceptional events are fortunately rare, they can be difficult to immediately recognize. And, even when acknowledged, enacting the appropriate emergency protocol in the heat of the moment can challenge even the most experienced interventionalist.
