- Utilize a standard approach to clinical evaluation of the dental patient, including both visual and tactile evaluation of the face, neck and oral cavity
- Identify clinical features of oral cancer and precancerous lesions, including risk factors and the role of human papilloma virus (HPV) in both oral and tonsillar (oropharyngeal) cancer
- Discuss the current evidence of efficacy and safety regarding HPV vaccines

- Discuss the clinical complications of salivary hypofunction
- Identify indications for and methods to measure salivary flow rates
- Discuss current treatment options for salivary hypofunction
