Core Skills: ENT Facial Plastic Surgery Workshop is organized by The Australian Society of Otolaryngology Head And Neck Surgery (ASOHNS), Clinical Training and Evaluation Centre (CTEC), The University of Western Australia (UWA) and will be held on Nov 02, 2024 at CTEC - Clinical Training and Evaluation Centre, University of WA, Crawley, Western Australia, Australia.

Description:
This hands-on cadaveric workshop will reinforce knowledge of anatomy and provides the opportunity to practice a range of facial plastic procedures not commonly performed by trainees in clinical practice. Hands-on dissection and pairing of participants of similar skill levels enables discussion and group learning. under expert supervision.

The workshop sessions are fully interactive with a high ratio of knowledgeable faculty to participants.  Faculty provide superior training and immediate feedback in a practical and controlled workshop environment. Limited  positions are available for Observer, and for Theatre Nurses in the role of assistant.

This workshop immediately follows on from the complementary Core Skills: ENT Sinus Surgery Workshop the day prior. Participants are welcome to register for both workshops.

Workshop Content
Demonstration and Practical Cadaveric Sessions
The workshop will feature a comprehensive highly practical full-day program.  It features  procedural demonstrations by expert faculty utilizing the latest 3D visualisation technology, followed by extensive cadaveric practical sessions focusing on the following procedures: 

• Otoplasty - anatomy and assessment. Mustarde`suturing and anterior scoring
• Conchal cartilage harvest
• Rhinoplasty
• Blepharoplasty – upper and lower, lateral canthoplasty
• Facelifts and endobrow lift
• Free practical session allowing practice of workshop program procedure/s of choice
