Description:
The pulmonary rehabilitation departments receive many requests from physiotherapists for a practical internship. Physiotherapists, especially in primary care, who have followed the 'COPD and asthma' course, encounter many practical questions and implementation problems after treating a number of COPD patients. They experience it as difficult to translate the extensive knowledge they have acquired during the course into tailor-made treatment for the patient. By joining a knowledge network, exchanges in this regard can be kept going. But in addition, practical training in a specialized center/hospital could have added value.

The following practical components are discussed:
• measurements: lung function laboratory, field tests
• clinimetry
• case discussion part 1: theory and practice (with patient)
• case discussion part 2: additional physiotherapeutic treatment goals and multidisciplinary treatment (pulmonologist, dietician, psychologist)
• current research, relevant literature, current projects.
