Cardiothoracic Surgery Update and Wetlab for Trust Appointed Doctors is organized by Society for Cardiothoracic Surgery in Great Britain and Ireland (SCTS) and will be held from Sep 11 - 12, 2024 at Ashorne Hill Conference Centre, Lemington, England, United Kingdom.

Course outline:
The first day will comprise of didactic lectures in the morning session providing updates on important topics in cardiothoracic surgery. There will also be an afternoon session about difficult intraoperative scenarios and decision making followed by an MDT session to highlight “real life” cases, exposing the enrolled delegates to the challenges faced in a multidisciplinary setting.

Day 2 will be in the form of a Wet Lab with demonstrations of key topics discussed in day 1 by experienced faculty members.  There will be an opportunity to work with wet animal tissue during the day and we would welcome active interaction during the day to maximise the learning opportunities.
