Clinical Certificate Anxiety Disorders 2024 is organized by British Association for Psychopharmacology (BAP) and will be held from Jan 25 - 26, 2024 at The Bristol Hotel, Bristol, England, United Kingdom.
Learning Objectives:
At the end of one and a half-day course, delegates will:
• Be aware of current theories and the causes and neurochemistry of anxiety.
• Know the pharmacology of both GABA and 5-HT acting anxiolytic drugs.
• Have an understanding of the current clinical assessment of the various anxiety disorders.
• Be aware of the merits and demerits of the various different classes of anxiolytic agents.
• Understand the ongoing methodologies for investigating brain mechanisms of anxiety.
• Know the clinical and pharmacology background of underpinning rational use of hypnotics.
• Have an insight into the way alcohol acts on the brain and how these effects can be minimised.
This module is eligble for 11 CPD hours which are subject to peer group review.
