British Association for Psychopharmacology (BAP) 2024 Summer Meeting – Birmingham is organized by British Association for Psychopharmacology (BAP) and will be held from Jul 21 - 24, 2024 at University of Birmingham, Birmingham, England, United Kingdom.
Description:
We are very pleased to be joined by three Guest Lecturers, all of whom will touch on the history of research and potential future progress in their area: Barbara Franke (ADHD), John Krystal (depression pathophysiology), and Dan Stein (‘Cosmetic’ Psychopharmacology). In addition, we are delighted that Femi Oyebode will give the BAP Public Lecture on Sunday afternoon, on psychiatric practice before the psychopharmacological era.
On Monday afternoon, David Nutt will provide an account of decades of research and thought on challenges associated with alcohol and alcohol use disorders. The meeting will conclude on Wednesday afternoon with a special 50th Anniversary symposium looking back over 25 years of psychopharmacology research and anticipates future developments over a similar period, to include Bill Deakin, Belinda Lennox, Anne Lingford-Hughes and Allan Young. There will of course be the customary great and varied programme of scientific symposia and training opportunities, including post-doctoral sessions and an extended poster session.
