OVERVIEW

Board Review Course & Update (BRCU) 2024 is organized by American Society of Nephrology (ASN) and will be held from Jul 21 - 23, 2024 at Fairmont Chicago - Millennium Park, Chicago, Illinois, United States of America.

Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

  • Interpret the fundamental concepts of nephrology in the areas of kidney function and structure; fluid and electrolyte disorders; glomerular and vascular disorders; potassium and acid base;    tubulointerstitial disorders and nephrolithiasis; CKD, ESKD, and dialysis; hypertension; AKI, ICU nephrology, and pharmacology; bone and mineral metabolism; and transplantation.
  • Formulate diagnostic and therapeutic options for the management of kidney diseases; and
  • Test individual medical practice competence against a series of simulated patient/case scenarios

Accreditation and CME Credit Designation:
In support of improving patient care, the American Society of Nephrology is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

The American Society of Nephrology designates this blended activity for an estimated 60 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

ABIM MOC Statement:
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component and passing the MOC Post Test, with a 70% or better (two attempts), enables the participant to earn up to an estimated 60 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to Joint Accreditation for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
