Australian Pharmacy Council IPE Colloquium 2024

Australian Pharmacy Council IPE Colloquium 2024 is organized by Australian Pharmacy Council (APC) and will be held on May 22, 2024 at Emporium Hotel South Bank, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

Learning outcomes:
• Identify appropriate strategies for best practice co-design of learning material with Indigenous communities.
• State successful approaches for recruiting and retaining students who are Indigenous.
• Discuss challenges in incorporating high quality Indigenous health education in degree programs and continuing professional education (CPD)
• Describe approaches to listening to Indigenous communities and maintaining relationships, and how this can transform education and practice.
• Discuss how to learn from and work collaboratively with other health professions to eliminate racism in health.
• Identify factors that enable the creation of culturally safe learning environments in classrooms, placements, and supervised practice settings
• Describe how to engage in a 2-way reflection to reach a common understanding of what was said.
• Demonstrate your commitment to amplifying Indigenous voices in your health professions training and education programs by documenting one actionable step.
• Identify opportunities to advocate for reform in health professions education and practice that supports improved Indigenous health perspectives.
