Anterior Hip Revision & Persona Revision Knee Course Austin is organized by The Zimmer Biomet Institute (ZBI) and will be held from Nov 21 - 22, 2024 at MedtoMarket, Austin, Texas, United States of America.
Hip Course Overview:
This course is intended for surgeons who have conducted a minimum of 100 primary Anterior THA cases. We also offer standard and advanced Anterior THA Courses as well as a Surgeon Visitation Program.
This course will focus on exposure and surgical techniques for acetabular and femoral revisions through the anterior approach. Under the direction of course faculty, attendees will receive didactic instruction and participate in discussions and a cadaver lab session.
Course Objectives:
• Identify revision cases that can potentially be performed anteriorly and those to avoid.
• Understand techniques to achieve ideal exposure for various revisions through the anterior approach.
• Demonstrate knowledge of anterior revision exposure and techniques in cadaver lab.
Knee Course Overview:
The Persona Revision Knee BioSkills Training Course is designed to support the commercial launch of the Persona Revision Knee System via didactic lectures, interactive case-based discussions and cadaveric BioSkills training for orthopedic surgeons to best meet the needs of their patients.
The Persona Revision Knee System will address current issues commonly seen in revision surgery, such as a large flexion gap when removing failed components and the need for zonal fixation and the absence of anatomic implants, while providing a continuum of care for the Persona Knee family. The Persona Revision BioSkills Course is a comprehensive knee revision course where the focus will be on how to use the device to address intra-operative challenges encountered during Revision Knee Arthroplasty.
Course Objectives:
Upon successful completion of the course, surgeon attendees will:
• Identify failure mechanisms, decision-making and planning for Revision Knee Arthroplasty.
• Identify strategies to improve predictability and reproducibility of Revision Knee Arthroplasty.
• Demonstrate confidence with the Persona Revision Knee System, including instrumentation, surgical steps and the Zimmer Biomet ecosystem of solutions, such as Synovasure, Bactisure, Spacer Molds and Zimmer Biomet Bone Cement.
• Understand revision knee solutions and techniques around fixation and bearing technologies.
• Have a working knowledge of the science and rationale behind the Persona Revision Knee System.
