Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) PM Refresher is organized by USF Health’s Office of Continuing Professional Development (OCPD) and will be held on Mar 23, 2024 at USF Health, CAMLS, Tampa, Florida, United States of America.

Course Description:
Overview: Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), is a continuing medical education program designed to teach a standardized, concise approach to the care of the trauma patient in the "golden hour" - the period of time following traumatic injury during which there is the highest likelihood of death.

Learning Objectives: 
• As a result of participating in this activity, the physician, ARNP or PA will be able to:
• Demonstrate the concepts and principles of the primary and secondary patient assessment
• Establish management priorities in a trauma situation
• Initiate primary and secondary management necessary within the golden hour for the emergency management of acute-life threatening conditions
• In a given simulated clinical and surgical skills practicum, demonstrate the following skills, which are often required in the initial assessment and treatment of patient with multiple injuries
