OVERVIEW

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is organized by National Institute of Emergency Care (NIEC), Inc. and will be held on Sep 24, 2024 at Bensalem EMS, Bensalem, Pennsylvania, United States of America.

Program: 
This course begins with principles of Basic Cardiac Life Support techniques, then continues with management of acute cardiac problems including such mechanical and pharmacological procedures as:

  • Adjuncts for the management of airway control and ventilation
  • Monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition
  • Defibrillation and synchronized cardioversion
  • Intravenous techniques
  • The essential and other useful drugs in cardiac care
  • Acid-Base balance

Prerequisites: 
Each student must supply a photocopy of his/her current BCLS or CPR for Healthcare Provider certification with application or in advance. This course involves a testing station and there is little time for practice. Please be sure that you have a solid understanding of BCLS before entering this course.
