OVERVIEW

37th Annual Park City Anatomic Pathology Update is organized by ARUP Laboratories and will be held from Feb 04 - 08, 2024 at Lodges at Deer Valley, Park City, Utah, United States of America.

Overview:
Pathology is an incredibly dynamic, ever-evolving field that requires continual learning. This year’s Anatomic Pathology Update course will focus on recent advances in the fields of breast and gynecologic pathology. The conference aims to help general practice pathologists stay up to date with the latest recommendations and practice guidelines and to further hone their overall diagnostic skills.

The course includes presentations from expert presenters in breast and gynecologic pathology who have been chosen from the faculty at the University of Utah and ARUP Laboratories. Embracing a truly multidisciplinary approach, we will hear from lecturers with expertise in not only surgical pathology, but also cytology, molecular oncology, and medical oncology. In addition, we are thrilled to host two highly distinguished keynote speakers: Dr Laura Collins, professor of Pathology at Harvard Medical School and vice chair of Anatomic Pathology and director of Breast Pathology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and Dr. Carlos Parra-Herran, associate professor of Pathology at Harvard Medical School and gynecologic pathologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Among the topics covered in breast pathology will be discussions on the recent advancements in HER2-directed therapy and the pathologist’s important role in breast biomarker testing, an approach to evaluating neoadjuvant-treated breast cancer cases, and a review of challenging diagnoses in breast pathology and their morphologic mimics.

Our presenters in gynecologic pathology will cover topics such as how to approach frozen sections, discussion of difficult cases including challenging endometrial lesions and cervical lesions, and how to integrate molecular findings into diagnoses to optimize patient care.

In keeping with tradition, there will be a few sessions providing updates on key topics in hematopathology. Finally, as an exciting new addition this year, we will be featuring a discussion on practical considerations when implementing digital pathology technologies in your practice.
