Taught by renowned Ultrasound tutor Dr Musarat Hasan and Dr Reeta Kumar, this course is dedicated to teach all the Basic and Advanced Principles of Ultrasound and its vital role in Obstetrics and Gynecology clinical application.

It will begin with the basic characteristics of the Ultrasound machine and its knobology, discussing the many aspects of the ultrasound controls and how the machine is used to optimize and orient an image. Practically demonstrating the different types of transducers, how to handle each type and its movements.

Followed by Ultrasound assessment in the First trimester, biometric measurements taken in early pregnancy, its criteria and Down Syndrome screening. As well as understanding the ultrasound role and findings for Ectopic Pregnancy.

The next days will focus on the role of Transvaginal ultrasound in Gynecology and Ultrasound application during second trimester and third trimester fetal growth assessment. How to identify the correct imaging planes and take proper biometric measurements for BPD, Head Circumference, Abdominal Circumference, Femoral Length and calculate Estimated Fetal Weight.

Including advanced understanding of identifying Placenta and its location, and learning to measure Amniotic Fluid Assessment
