Course Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this course, the participant will provide better patient care through an increased ability to:

• Apply in practice the recent interventional, pharmacological, device-based surgical advances in the treatment and management of cardiac arrhythmias, advanced heart failure and cardiogenic shock, cardiac transplantation, peripheral arterial disease, pulmonary hypertension, aneurysmal disease, and pulmonary embolism
• Utilize new medications and imaging modalities in the screening and management of ischemia, coronary artery disease, and hyperlipidemia
• Define evolving role of the cardiologist in the treatment of heart failure, hyperlipidemia, obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease in women
• Discuss recent advances in medical, surgical, and percutaneous treatment for the management of hypertension, left atrial occlusion, valvular heart disease, vascular disease, and Kawasaki disease
• Apply new and updated recommendations for cardiovascular disease in women
