23rd Annual Pain Medicine Meeting is organized by the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (ASRA) and will be held from Nov 21 - 23, 2024 at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, Nevada, United States of America.

ASRA Pain Medicine supports a multidisciplinary and interprofessional approach to continuing education and patient care by also providing relevant education for other healthcare professionals not directly engaging in interventional regional anesthesia and/or pain medicine procedures. ASRA Pain Medicine offers learning opportunities to the national and international healthcare community.

The theme of #ASRAFALL24 is “LET’S GO! Advancing Advocacy and Access.” The field of pain medicine currently faces significant challenges in terms of access to diagnostics and therapeutics for our patients, shifting practice management needs, unique pain needs of diverse populations, and understanding emerging science and research and its implications for patient care. The 2024 Fall Meeting offers solutions to these challenges, bringing together health care providers, scientists, researchers, engineers, and innovators in the field to address critical needs at a historic time. Plenary sessions, workshops, interactive sessions, problem-based learning discussions, integrated abstract presentations, and oral abstract and poster presentations incorporating top experts from across the world will provide critical insights in translational research, therapeutic innovation, and practice management.

This year’s meeting returns to ASRA Pain Medicine’s traditional three-day format with offerings from Thursday through Saturday. Highlights for our meeting include:

• The Medical Education Masterclass for those seeking additional content specific for education, and a full day of lectures and cadaver workshops for pain medicine fellows.
• Our fantastic Refresher Courses, Parallel Sessions, and Plenary Sessions! To name just a few topics, these will include expanding neuromodulation applications, special considerations in pinnacle pain therapies, advanced musculoskeletal pain management, hands-on rehabilitation and assessment demonstrations, regenerative medicine, and new guideline updates including steroid injections and sacroiliac joint pain management.
• Our popular perennial workshops will continue to offer and expand high-quality content including advanced approaches to spine and peripheral joint pain, pinnacle pain therapies, regenerative medicine, and tenotomy.

More than ever, our meeting this year focuses on helping pain medicine physicians and advanced practice providers (APP) thrive in today’s medical environment. Throughout the meeting we will provide education on practice management strategies for prior authorization, self-payment plans, interpreting local coverage determinations, and updated documentation requirements. Attendees will leave with tools that improve their daily practice and help with patient access that can be implemented as soon as they arrive back at their clinic.

We continue to welcome APPs and nurses to our annual meeting. We are pleased to invite experts in the field to discuss fundamentals of excellent care in pain management, key anatomic imaging and procedural considerations, and critical practice updates. As always, we have worked closely with our APP and nursing ASRA Pain Medicine members to provide high-impact content to support your practice and continued excellent care of patients.

We are perhaps most excited to welcome the next generation of pain management specialists. In addition to our growing lectures and cadaver workshop for fellows, we have dedicated tracks for trainees during interactive sessions. We are particularly pleased to offer a dedicated practice management session for trainees with top experts in the field sharing their insights and guidance directly with residents and fellows. We continue to support the mission of the Association of Pain Program Directors and its dedication to excellence in pain management training.

This year’s theme seeks to address concerns around preserving access to pain diagnostics and therapeutics for patients. Physicians and providers in pain medicine are working on the “front lines” of what can increasingly feel like a crisis of access in pain medicine. In addition to addressing access issues throughout the meeting, we will also consider how we can advocate for our practices and patients through the most fruitful professional partnerships as a society and as individual providers, researchers, and scientists.

I’m excited to share all this educational content and more. The meeting will address the challenges in pain medicine while focusing on providing solutions to those of us caring for patients every day as well as those on the leading edge of science and innovation. Our program is multidisciplinary, forward-thinking, and designed to support current and future generations of pain management providers, researchers, and innovators.
