19th Annual Conference Emergency Medicine Update Hot Topic is organized by UC Davis Conference and Event Services (CES) and will be held from Oct 21 - 25, 2024 at Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa, Koloa, Hawaii, United States of America.
Description:
Health care is changing rapidly. Urgent and emergent conditions require rapid, accurate diagnosis and treatment decisions. This educational activity provides an opportunity for practitioners to learn about current and progressive trends in the practice of emergent, urgent, and critical care. The course provides a setting in which attendees will practice their own decision-making with concurrent feedback and instruction.
Course participant evaluations and community practitioner annual needs assessment surveys have identified the need for information about urgent and emergent care. The course is designed to change practitioner competencies in areas identified in the needs assessments with focus on the extremes of age, pediatric care, point of care ultrasound, common intoxicants, EKG interpretation, resuscitation, syncope, and current dosing practices. This year’s four-day conference specifically addresses these identified educational needs and provides practitioners with state-of-the-art tools to deliver improved treatment to patients. Faculty at the course have been selected on the basis of specialized training, comprehensive experience, and excellence in education.
