15th International Congress Of the Polish Society of Allergology (PSA) is organized by Polish Society of Allergology (PSA) / Polskiego Towarzystwa Alergologicznego (PTA) and will be held from Oct 09 - 12, 2024 at ICE Krakow Congress Centre, Krakow, Malopolskie, Poland.

Description:
The fifteenth meeting of our Society as part of the Congress is a beautiful proof of the wonderful development of PTA over the last 40 years. From a rather narrow club of enthusiasts of allergology, the Society has developed into one of the most dynamic and recognizable medical organizations. Thanks to the work and dedication of many allergists, we can also boast the availability of the latest methods of diagnostics and therapy of allergic diseases, and representatives of our community are valued specialists and authorities not only in our country.

In this extremely positive image for our community and specialist, there are, however, some flaws. The rightful and systematically raised postulates of allergists (immunotherapy, access to diagnostics, etc.) often encounter obstacles that are incomprehensible to us. Each of us, in our medical practice or life experience, has encountered a situation when, despite having the knowledge and possibilities, we were unable to use them for the good of the patient due to the lack of someone's consent, ambiguous regulations or the inertia of the health care system.

That is why the slogan of the next PTA Congress is "Horizons in Allergology. Vision and Practice". We want to focus on what currently hinders, blocks or discourages allergy diagnostics and therapy. We also want to go further - indicating not only symptoms, but also remedies. Systemic or human impasse cannot stand in the way of the development of allergology as a specialization. The vision of our work with allergic disease must be in line with the practice defined by decision-makers, which we should and must have an influence on.
