UM-HM Paediatric Palliative Care Symposium is organized by Hospis Malaysia, University of Malaya (UM), Perinatal Society of Malaysia (PSM) and will be held from Sep 09 - 11, 2023 at University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Description:
The first 2 days of the programme is aimed at providing an enriching learning experience for participants by taking a more in-depth look at topics related to care provision for foetuses and infants with life-limiting diagnoses and their families. Topics would cover suffering, grief, hope, spirituality and ethical challenges in the context of perinatal and neonatal palliative care. There would also be sessions covering the more practical aspects including skills on shared decision making, withdrawal of life-sustaining interventions, bereavement support  and the inside scoop on setting up a perinatal service.
