Program Purpose:
• Exercise-induced respiratory asthma as well as vocal cord dysfunction as a direction of athletes experiencing breathing problems or chronic fatigue

• For hand, finger, and wrist injuries among athletes. (includes splinting as opposed to. surgical treatment)
- Discuss the differentiators between "jammed finger" injuries from the volar plate (ligament tear), mallet finger Jersey finger, and fracture.
- Initial assessment and treatment of concussions in sports.
- Make sure the participant knows about the elements that make athletes more susceptible to recovery from concussions sustained in sports.
- The systematic method of diagnosis of shoulder injuries sustained by athletes.
- Ensure that your participants can distinguish and deal with dislocated vs. isolated shoulders.
• Spinal injuries in athletes: distinguishing the severity and management of young athletes and adults.
- After the completion of the session, the participant will be able to determine the proper use of x-rays, MRI or bone scans, and CTs.
- The stress fractures of athletes are: identifying high-risk fractures vs. low-risk fractures.
- Define the characteristic appearance of Jones fracture, tarsal navicular, and proximal/anterior tension fractures of the tibia and the neck. Be conscious of the consequences of not having them.
