OVERVIEW

The Society for Inherited Metabolic Disorders (SIMD) North American Metabolic Academy (NAMA) 2.0 is organized by Society for Inherited Metabolic Disorders (SIMD) and will be held from Feb 23 - 25, 2023 at Rosen Shingle Creek Universal Blvd, Orlando, Florida, United States of America.

Description:
The Academy will provide a broad overview of inborn errors of metabolism focusing on the clinical diagnosis and treatment of these disorders. A renowned faculty will guide you through seminars on disease recognition and diagnosis, workshops to integrate an understanding of normal metabolism and pathophysiology, and case-based workshops on diagnosis and management. NAMA is presented by the Society for Inherited Metabolic Disorders (SIMD).

The Society for Inherited Metabolic Disorders (SIMD) has established the North American Metabolic Academy (NAMA) to provide a forum in which medical genetic and biochemical genetic trainees can build their knowledge base about the inborn errors of metabolism and can gain exposure to the diagnosis and management of metabolic diseases. The course is now referred to as NAMA 1.0.

NAMA 2.0 is established as a follow-up course, targeting those clinicians and/or researchers who have a committed interest in inborn errors. Unlike NAMA 1.0, the course focuses primarily on disorders of complex molecules (following JM Saudubray’s classification). This course is less structured than NAMA 1.0 and actively promotes discussion and debate.

Additional details will be posted as soon as information is available.
