Description:
The San Diego Conference focuses on multidisciplinary efforts to prevent child and family maltreatment if possible; otherwise, to investigate, treat, and prosecute those responsible for the abuse of children and families. The San Diego Conference aims to develop and enhance professional skills and knowledge in the prevention, recognition, assessment, and treatment of all forms of maltreatment, including those related to family violence, and to enhance investigative and legal skills. Other goals of the conference include improving investigative and legal abilities. In-depth problems involve providing assistance to families, taking preventative measures, being a leader, and formulating public policy. Applying the most recent research findings is another topic that will be covered.
