Description:
This half-day course is designed to provide vital information about nurses managing gastrointestinal disorders through their nursing specialty. The Digestive Disease Week (DDW) conference will discuss the most recent developments in treating gastrointestinal (GI) diseases. This year's continuing education class will focus on those developments. In addition, registering for the nurse course will grant you access to the general sessions and LA LIVE! Practices will be held from Friday through Sunday. You will have many opportunities to converse with your fellow students, members of the specialized faculties, and other professionals from the business world.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this symposium, participants should be better able to:
• Explain how recent findings affect patients and what they may do to continue receiving therapy.
• Follow updated guidelines for the treatment of chronic liver and gastrointestinal diseases.
• Discuss the future directions of therapeutics, diagnostics, and technology in treating gastrointestinal and liver diseases.

Statement of Need:
The goal of this program is to provide important clinical and scientific data on the management of gastrointestinal disorders.
