29th conference of the Dutch Association for Psychosocial Oncology (NVPO) is organized by Dutch Association for Psychosocial Oncology / Nederlandse Vereniging voor Psychosociale Oncologie (NVPO), Congress Care and will be held on Mar 17, 2023 at Hogeschool Utrecht, Utrecht, Netherlands.

The diagnosis of cancer not only affects the patient, but also the partner, children and relatives. After diagnosis or during treatment, loved ones often feel they need to stay strong to support their loved one. But feelings of sadness, fear or powerlessness can also arise afterwards. It often remains a huge barrier for family members to seek psychosocial help. The theme of the 29th congress is therefore 'You have cancer together: impact on and care for your loved ones'. The challenges surrounding this theme will be discussed by various speakers during the conference and practical tools will be provided on how healthcare professionals can be alert to psychosocial problems and how to deal with them.
